Navis™ is a web-based marine claims management platform designed for shipowners, insurers, brokers, maritime lawyers and in-house claims teams. Cloud Infrastructure
Navis™ is built on Bubble’s cloud platform, which uses Amazon Web Services infrastructure. Data is currently hosted in the United States. Appropriate contractual safeguards are maintained for applicable international transfers of personal data.
Encryption
Data is protected in transit using TLS encryption and at rest using AES-256 encryption through Bubble’s underlying infrastructure.
Access Control
Access to Navis™ is managed through role-based permissions and application privacy rules. These controls are designed to restrict users to the information and functionality relevant to their authorised role.
Backup and Recovery
The underlying platform provides backup and recovery capabilities. Recovery arrangements, retention periods and service requirements are agreed and documented as part of the applicable client engagement.
Data Protection
Navis™ is designed to support QMC and its clients in meeting applicable UK and EU data-protection obligations. QMC maintains appropriate contractual arrangements with its technology providers and provides clients with relevant data-processing terms.
Each client remains responsible for ensuring that its use of Navis™, and the information uploaded to the platform, complies with applicable law and its own regulatory and contractual obligations.
Platform Security
Bubble states that its platform is SOC 2 Type II compliant and undergoes vulnerability testing, including OWASP Top 10 testing and continuous security monitoring. Bubble’s underlying AWS infrastructure is independently certified against standards including ISO/IEC 27001.
These certifications relate to the underlying service providers and infrastructure; they do not constitute separate certification of Navis™ or Quantum Marine Claims Ltd.
